How many times have you let a disc go and thought it was perfect, just before it collided with a small, dangling branch you hadn't noticed in your Pre Flight Checklist?
Even observant players can be easily caught out in shaded areas, and locations where you lack a silhouette against the sky are prime candidates for failing to see that one tiny branch, with no leaves, smack in the intended path of your disc.
So, make sure you have thoroughly inspected what you think is a clean line before making your shot. Your 30-second shot clock does not start until you get to your disc, so use the time beforehand to properly confirm the lack of danglers.
